My first really serious band, Elbows Akimbo was actually a performance troupe that formed while I was a student at SF State University's Center for Experimental and Interdisciplinary Arts. The musical core of the group eventually developed an identity of its own and played out separately from the rest of the performers, This led to no small amount of confusion! To add to this, there was a lot of overlap between Elbows and other groups I was to be involved with. Polymorphia, the Enormous Ensemble and Aether all were connected to and shared members with Elbows Akimbo, so it was often difficult to work out where to put certain songs, when compiling this archive. If the only recordings of songs that featured in Elbows productions were performed by one of those other groups, I went ahead and filed them here, if there were duplicate or different recordings then I've put up both in their respective places.

This is a partial musical record of that journey. ... more
