After becoming cyber-friends with poet Larry Beckett, he began giving me words to set to music. This was the second piece of his I developed. The melody came first, and then I worked out the basic chord structure. Rainer Grantzin was then able to take his virtuosic piano and harmonic skills and create this beautiful and rich accompaniment.

Somehow, I had never recorded a song before with just voice and piano. It's a classic and very naked way to present a song that really works for this piece and made me want to do lots more in this vein!

I love this song.
